Beautiful embossed and patinated copper plaque depicting the Christ deposition.
The depiction, set in an architectural glimpse of classical taste, evokes the manner of contemporary sixteenth-century altarpieces. It approaches in manner the production of the great sculptor Guglielmo della Porta.
The dating could be placed in the 17th century or the first half of the 18th century.
